Welcome to October Frights, featuring Halloween Fables by Winnie Jean Howard and poetry by C. Reschke.
Mummy
Wrapped in
A molded cocoon
I will not transform
Into a butterfly.
Death and decay
Melted my beauty
Stole my voice
Ruined my gown
I am now
A stranger waddling
In a sandstorm

Another great monster poem, C. Reschke. Really loved the opening line.
