October’s a Halloween Monster Mash UP!

Our Halloween theme continues with a 31 day Monster Mash Up on social media. We will be creating posts on social media platforms of our choice, visiting others posts, and commenting, sharing and following others. Join in all 31 days of the month or pick and choose the days you share. More specifically, follow these steps as you participate:
- Create a social media post related to any monster(s) and include the hashtag #MonsterMash. Put it on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Pinterest, etc. (See below for what to put in a post.)
- Copy the link for the post. (See the right column for instructions on how to copy links.)
- Go to the Handcuffed in Horror group and paste the link for your post to the current day’s Monster Mash Up post. The current day’s post is also in the Announcements.
- Click on other’s links to visit their posts and make comments and share content as you like.
- While visiting other group member’s social media pages/profiles, add new friends, like pages, follow others, join groups as you like. This is optional and at your discretion.

What to Post
First off, this is meant to be a fun sharing and scaring of anything monsters. It’s a way for everyone to connect with group members on other areas of social media. It is not a self-advertising exercise. Please do not post links to stores to buy your own stuff (books, movies, artwork, etc.). You can post buy links to other people’s stuff. If you’re not sure what to post, below are some suggestions, or contact Wendy here or via Messenger on Facebook.
- Choose a monster, write a short post about it that invokes conversation, and include a picture, gif, video, link to an article, etc.
- Post a link to a Facebook like page or group you frequently visit and that is associated with monsters. Click here for an example.
- Find an interesting video (YouTube, Vimeo) related to a monster and post a link to it with a few words about what you like.
- Post an artistic piece you or someone else created and tell about it or ask a question that starts a discussion. Click here for an example.
- Share a funny or terrifying real-life experience with someone in a monster costume around Halloween.
- Post pictures of the horrific decorations you display annually. Repeats of the decoration contest welcome.
- Post a photo and link to a blog post you or someone else wrote about a monster. Click here for an example.
- Try a link to an old blog post about monster movies you love. Click here for an example.
