October Frights Day 6: Ghoul by C. Reschke

Welcome to October Frights, featuring Halloween Fables by Winnie Jean Howard and poetry by C. Reschke.

Ghoul

Dwelling in fog
Against cold stone
I await the sweetest flesh
Your smell lingers
Like sweet perfume
Drawing open my bleeding lips
Fangs glint in deadend air
Silence echos in your ears
As my decaying body
Stalk my prey
My ghoulish grin
Is the last you’ll see.
Let the feast begin!
