Fall is my favorite time of year, and October is probably my favorite month because weather’s so unpredictable in Colorado. The volatile month can vary as much as 50 degrees in a single day, with snow in the morning and warm sunshine in the afternoon. And how can you not love nature’s changing colors just before a harsh period of sleep and death.
Then there’s Halloween, my favorite holiday. For us horror writers, it’s also a busy month of promoting our work. This month I’ll be releasing a blog post every other day to get discussions going on frightful things.
Last year I wrote a bunch of short fables based on Aesop’s fables. While I didn’t have a chance to put them out for sale in stores, they are available on Wattpad and Booksie. Head on over there to read 6 tales of terror for all ages.
As I’ve mentioned, my main focus this month is finishing up the beta for Warrant for Damnation, book 2 in The Courier Series. Don’t forget to head on over to Booksie or Wattpad to read and comment on the story.
Reminder that I’m only attending one Halloween event this year. Join me here in my blog October 10th to the 15th for October Frights, for my favorite Halloween book event. As usual, there will be a number of awesome horror writers participating, and you will have lots of opportunities to win books and gift cards. Don’t forget, this event has a book promotion on StoryOrigin through the 15th. Head on over for some great book deals.
Reminder that if you missed out on last month’s FREE download on Amazon, Call for Obstruction and Fall for Freedom are only .99 cents all month long in October in honor of Halloween.
Now let’s have some fun with movie reviews and other awesome horror discussion.
Welcome to my website where I share dark comical stories for all ages along with my passion for horror movies, zombies, wine, and evil in pop culture. Originally from Chicago, I now live in Colorado where I spend my days writing dark comedy and getting duped by 3 mischievous beagles.
Looking for a short, funny tale. Check out Pete Sinclair’s story in the Fall for Freedom prequel to The Courier series. He’s been blamed for closing the Gates of Hell and releasing an imprisoned fallen angel by the name of Azael. Lucky for Pete, an angel’s apprentice believes he’s innocent. She offers him freedom from Satan’s forces in exchange for his help returning Azael to his prison cell. If only he and the demon who possesses him had the courage and know how to fight a fallen angel.
