Angels Dark and Dumb

Previously The Courier Series, this series is loved for its unique characters, dark humor, and fast pace that’s like playing a video game. Read this series if you’re a fan of Christopher Moore, Terry Pratchet, or Jim Butcher. If you like slapstick, farce, and dark humor, you’re sure to have a damned good time!

Book 1: Call for Obstruction

My name is Barry, although it might as well be Loser. Satan owns my soul, and my demon boss tortures me with her magical cigarettes every chance she gets. I should be flicking butts at her. She tricked me into signing a contract that compels me to help open the Gates of Hell.

I’m desperate for freedom. At the same time, I’ll do anything to stop damned souls from spilling onto Earth. My odds of saving mankind are uncertain. But I still have to try.

Call for Obstruction was originally written as a twitter novel at @TheCourierNovel. The first novel is still available on Twitter, minus the ending if you don’t mind reading backward. It won the Textnovel Writing Contest for its unique characters and dark humor. It’s fast-paced like a video game and hard to put down.

Prequel: Fall for Freedom

It’s 1995 and Pete Sinclair is feeling the heat. He’s been blamed for closing the Gates of Hell and releasing an imprisoned fallen angel by the name of Azael. Now Pete’s on the run from mercenaries who’ve been paid to take off his head.

Lucky for Pete, an angel’s apprentice believes he’s innocent, but she’s not about to let him off the hook. She offers Pete a deal. He can turn himself over to the mercenaries or re-confine Azael before he kidnaps and impregnates nuns.

Brandishing the only weapon that weakens angels, Pete must battle Azael to attain his freedom. If only he had a clue how to use the sword.

Fall for Freedom explains Barry’s existence and how Pete becomes Barry’s mentor.

Book 2: Warrant for Damnation

I thought I’d hit rock bottom when I pissed off Satan and ended up on Hell’s Most Wanted List.

Then something worse happened. A fallen angel with a nun fetish and a desire to rob humans of free will showed up. He’s Azael, the deadbeat dad I’ve never known, and he wants me at his side, expanding his rein over demons and mankind. God’s pissed too but willing to give me asylum if I annihilate Azael. What? Me? Destroy a fallen angel? I think they’ve got the wrong guy!

Warrant for Damnation is the second book in the Angels Dark and Dumb series: “bad taste” horror comedy at its best. The series is know for its unique characters and dark humor. If you like slapstick, farce, and dark humor, you’re sure to have a damned good time!
